We had the pleasure of collaborating once again with director Sheldon Candis on a pitch book that came to fruition in the form of a new Misty Copeland docu-series for Macy’s and Under Armour. An insightful Film Independent interview with Sheldon about the series and the pitching process has just been released. Pitch books are an effective way of illustrating ideas in a way words alone won’t, and a great way to stand out amongst the competition.
Celluloid Dreams, the short film directed by Jonathan Dillon that Clayton D’Mello and John Godfrey of Chargefield served as co-producers on, had its World Premiere screening on June 1 and won the Grand Jury Award at the 17th Annual Dances With Films, in Hollywood on June 8. As part of that award, Laemmle Theatres is giving the short an Academy Award qualifying theatrical run. The film’s theatrical run will be Tuesday, August 5 – Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Laemmle’s NoHo 7 in North Hollywood. Check it out if you’re in the LA area!
Here's a selection of hand-drawn custom lettering pieces created by Chargefield. We render our type by hand, and then bring it into software such as Photoshop to clean up, or Illustrator to create vector pieces that can be scaled to any size. Custom lettering, or hand drawn typography, gives a unique look to many projects, whether it be the actual design of a logo, titles for editorial design, or a way of adding visual flourishes to an otherwise dry text-heavy piece of print design.
We recently had the pleasure of creating some 3D composited titles for director Bailey Kobe at Double Entente Films on this awesome big rig gymkhana video, starring legendary stunt driver Mike Ryan. If you’re familiar with the Ken Block series of gymkhana videos, this will be something surprisingly different! Read on to check out the video!
We recently rebranded Markus Schulz's electronic dance music label, Coldharbour Recordings. Named after Coldharbour Lane, a road in South London where Schulz's first studio was located, the logo is a nod to British street signage. You can see the new logo on the artwork for current single releases hitting stores now, using an album artwork template Chargefield also designed. See the full post for album art!
