Celluloid Dreams, the short film directed by Jonathan Dillon that Clayton D’Mello and John Godfrey of Chargefield served as co-producers on, had its World Premiere screening on June 1 and won the Grand Jury Prize at the 17th Annual Dances With Films, in Hollywood on June 8. As part of that award, Laemmle Theatres is giving the short an Academy Award qualifying theatrical run. The film’s theatrical run will be Tuesday, August 5 – Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Laemmle’s NoHo 7 in North Hollywood. Check it out if you’re in the LA area!
Celluloid Dreams has since won the Grand Jury award at the 18th Annual Playhouse West Film Festival, won Best Original Score at The Other Venice Film Festival, won Best Actress at Claremont Film Festival, and has been an official selection at Boston Film Festival, The Cleveland International Film Festival, Kansas City FilmFest, LA Shorts Film Fest, Lone Star Film Festival, Napa Valley Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Roving Eye International Film Festival, Skyline International Film Festival and Urbanworld Film Festival.
